How would one go about destroking an engine? For instance the Accord Type-R 2.2L down to 2.0L or the hytech k-series motors 2.3L down from a 2.4.

Just curious how they did it. How would a B16 crank destroke a H22A or a K24a, I'm not talking about a B18.

they do this in touring cars so that the rod stroke ratio is better so that the engine can be revved higher at the cost of some torque loss. Plus there is a 2.0L and lower class and i read somewhere that accord R 2.2L engines are destroked and used for this class. And yes, you de stroke an engine by getting a crank with a shorter stroke. Usually stroker kits come with rods and bearings stuff like that as well.

So what crank does Honda use to destroke the Accord Type-R H22 to a 2.0L?
