i was interested in supercharging my 98 prelude, but first i wanted to know if it was a good idea and what brand would be best for my car

Jackson racing is the only brand that makes superchargers for our cars. If you want a nice car that has nice power all the way through the power band get the blower. If you want a highway monster that pulls and keeps pulling get turbo. Turbo you have more power options, as for the supercharger you have limited power. If you get a big turbo you get lag, if you run a high psi pulley belt you'll most likely get slippage. Its hard, it just depends on what you want and what your budget is. If I would recommend that you get just the supercharger itself and not the EMS that JR provides cause it is utter garbage. Buy the blower by itself (you could prollypick one up for like 2k) and then get a nice Hondata system. Once you go FI you never go back. And the winding of the sc is harmony with vtec.
