Default single over head H22a4

i have two cars and civic for a racer and the accord for the daily driver and i cleaned the engine code and saw h22a4 and got happy but when i looked at the engine it was a single over head vtec ex. so am i seeing things are is this right because i never heard any thing about a sohc h22.

don't have a camera but the only other engine code close to it is f20a4.

H22A4 would be a 6th gen Prelude motor, like a 97 or 98

Which car was this in? You may have a H22 bottom end with a SOHC head

the Accord engine is an F22A4, spray more brake cleaner or Simple Green, your' seeing things.

what year is your accord?
anyway all h series oare DOHC
and the only a4 engines that i know of that are sohc and vtec are in 6th gen accords.
