Default assembling LSVTEC, have ????

I've got the B18A stripped and ready to recieve parts off of my B17A. When using the B17A oil pump and water pump, which timing belt do I need? I was under the inpression that I use the B17A tining belt because of the B17A water pump. Some one else mentioned that the B17A has a different deck height and I need a B18C timing belt. Can anyone clear this up for me?

lie. if the b17 had a differant deck height than a b16, then it wouldent be possible to use b17 crank and rods in b16 and stroke it. but that is possible, EARGO that **** is a lie. and you would use your b17 timing belt.

Wait, you are going LSVTEC right? In that case you must use the GSR/Type-R timing belt if using a DOHC VTEC water pump. If using an LS water pump then use the LS/B20 timing belt.

Yes, B17A1 head, B18A block, B17A water pump and oil pump. When you say to use the GSR timing belt are you talking about the P72 timing belt or the PR3 timing belt? The B17A1 uses a PR3 head which is what I have.

P72 Timing Belt. GSR or Type-R. Same part numbers.
