I was driving my car, equipped with Defi link gauges, suddenly, I see a red flashing light, I look to my EGT guage, and notice it now says 1800 DEGREES!!!!!!
oh my LORD MY ENGINE GOING TO EXPLODE!
My EGT have NEVER EVVVVVVVVER gone over 1300 degrees. (EGT is tapped on the downpipe right after the turbo)
Suddenly the temp goes ALL the way down to 800, then to 1400, then to 600 then to 1700. All this fluctuation happens in about 2-3 secs. This leads me to think.. okay.. it's not my car, something has gone cooooky with my EGT gauge. There no way egt temp can fluctate that much that fast.
Problem is, my EGT guage now doesn't want to go over 1000 degrees at ALL. And when I'm driving, it shoot from 800 degrees down to 600 degrees as soon as I let go of the gas. The only time it seem to be accurate is when it's 600 degrees and below.
Which leads me to the question. What the hell is wrong with my car/gauge!???
Somebody help me out here, cuase I have no idea what's wrong.

I know Autometer uses a gas in their EGT lines. If the gas is leaking out of the line then the temp has enormous fluctuations. I'm not sure about your gauges though. Good luck.

All connections seem okay.
Here's the thing, yesterday, I washed my car, including my engine bay. It was dirty soooo..
I think I imght have sprayed the electrical connector that goes from the brain unit to the EGT sensor. Some water might have seeped into there and made it goes bonkers. I don't have a spare sensor for my EGT, but I guess I might have to start looking for one. Problem is, I don' think they make it for my guage anymore.
Thanks for the tips guys.

It's a B16 Stock internal. And it's actually closer to like 4.7 psi. I just rounded up.
