Default B20B

I've just bought a 96 4 doors Civic and did installed a year 92 B16A into it. So, now i'm intend to use a B20B as a bottom end and B16A heads.
But i'm not very sure what specs of Pistons, con rods, bearings, crankshafts or else should i builds and install into my B20B blocks. How much is the good compression ratio should i go for maximise it. At the moment, my heads already done for Port & Polished with TODA type C camshafts and Valve springs, CROWER titanium valve retainers and oversize Stainless Steels Coated Valves.

So, is anybody outhere who're really expert and experienced in doing B20B blocks to help me in achieving full power from my engine.
About my Tranny, i'm using ACT Xtreme Clutch Kits with Street Lite Flywheels also from ACT. 2 way stock LSD with 4.4 Final Drive Gear Ratio. I hope i can change the Final gear drive to a 4.6. A lot of comments on this.

Please help me anybody out there!!!!!......

Get some 12.5:1 forged pistons, I think the ones from SRP are like $440, as for bearings, the machine shop will let you know if you need new ones and stick with the stock B20 bearings, Eagle rods will get the job done but Crower would be better, use the water pump and oil pump from your B16, and get that ENDYN breather kit and you should be fine. Do a search in the archives and you should find a really good build up post

i heard that if we're using B20B as a bottom ends, knocking will happen greatly. So, is there any guidelines for avoidign this to happen.
About the con rods, which one should i use, short rods or long rods? And how thick is Metal Gaskets should i use? Is 0.045mm from SPOON is reliable for this modifications?
Thanks.

b16/18 is 81mm bore and b20 is 86mm bore. b16/18 head gasket will not work unless you modify it.

and you might want to stick with the stock lenght rod unless you can have the piston custom made to your spec.

B20 is 84 mm not 86

and a b16 only has one head.

as for parts.... get it bored and sleeved due to the weak sleeves already in the block (GE). Rods, you can use any b18 rods i prefer eagle. Bearings, use OEM bearings and then u color match them with the crank remember that all rods from eagle that are for honda are #3. Headgasket, get a OEM gasket. anything else?

so now, which one should i go for Bore and stroke? how many mm? my friends recommend me to use the econo lightweight con rods from CROWER, JE Pistons, POWER bearings and CROWER 4340 forged crankshafts with lightened and fully balanced. Is this match to my requirement? or is there any specs is more better than this?

I prefer asked for this stupid questions first before do a stupid mistakes later on.

Thanks all folks here.

depending on the compression you will run (allmotor) you can stick with the factory cylinder walls at 84mm dia. if you run compression over 12:1 you can run into cylinder wall failure unless you have the block sleeved (if sleeved you can run up to 86mm (allmotor) safely.

a sleeved B20 is the only way I would run turbo in a B20 block... for strength reasons.

you can use the B20 crankshaft and rods, but aftermarket rods mated to aftermarket 11.4:1 (or so) pistons would be a great all motor setup with a B16 head prepped for a B20vtec setup.

Port and polish that head for the bigger displacement!

http://www.importbuilders.com has great choices for B20 vtec buildups.
