Default installed new injectors and now car smokes....

I decided to go with the 390's instead of 450's on my setup. I have a t3 from a mx6 390's and an sfc. I started it up today after the new injectors and it was ok but the I gave it a little boost and saw lots of white smoke. I thought lean so I richen the mixture up a bit. still smokin so I took it home and pulled the plugs and there was steam coming from the no. 1 cylinder closest to the timing belt. I said ****, I messed up my headgasket. would I be correct in my assumption or is there something else I should check? any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for all ur help... ps. noone would hapen to a a z6 motor or a a6 motor dor sale would they?

Too rich is usually black smoke.

Did you make ajustments to your AFC once you changed from 450cc to 390 cc injectors? I hope so, otherwise you most likely did run lean.

that sounds about right.. if u "were" running 450's and didnt compensate for smaller injectors it might have pulled too much fuel out of the 390s
