s-afc and injectors?
I have a custom turbo setup on my d16z6 and it was running fine up until a couple weeks ago and I brought it to a mechanic. He is trying to tune my s-afc right and he has never done it before. He says he wants to put in my stock injectors and cut off the resistor box because he thinks that my current 440cc injectors are giving too much fuel. Is this a smart idea? Can the safc give the right amount of fuel for 8 psi on stock injectors, or should I try and bring it back to the original guy who did my turbo set-up? advice please!
no don't let him go back to the stock injectors, tune the afc to -35 % to -40 % and retard your timing 10 degrees, keep checking your spark plugs to see if your running lean or rich... stock injectors suck. I ran the S-afc hack and it took 1.4 secs of my Quater mile ets, but I was stupid and didn't retard the timing and I cracked a sleeve. at first I ran rich, but I kept tuning off my spark plugs until I got a nice ash brown color and got decent fuel milage too.

Someone correct me if im wrong, but I think 10 degrees is pretty excesive. should be more like 5ish.

could I have just got a bad set of 440cc injectors? because it appears that I am just running too rich. I can smell gas in my engine compartment and there is also traces of gas in my oil pan when I take out the dipstick!
