Default Opinions/Exprience wanted on setup H-T#s Vs. Real World #s...

I have a B20 in my 91 CRX. I would like to slap a t3/to4e on there w/ about 12lbs of boost. I was going to get a standalone w/ pump 550 injectors but, the other night while @ the races, a guy was running a CRVTEC FMU FPR 440s built bottom end. He was using some Greddy black box inline pump. I asked him if thats all he had for fuel management. He said yeah. He was runnin 12lbs of boost and 150shot. ( I know I saw the setup, two dry 75 nozzles) He was running very rich, when he shifted tons of black smoke would come out from under the car... I also got a chance to take a look at the plugs, there were black... Now, I was currious, could I run an SAFC (BTW what does HACK mean?) with some 450s and inline and FPR as well as some dyno tunning on this setup? I know I could but seeing as Im 15 my budget is tight, would this be recomened since the sleeves on the B20 dont hold up so well?

any advice/expricene would be awsome.

Save up some money and save some headaches...just buy some real engine management..ie. hondata etc., in the end I don't think it will be much more expensive than what you have planned.

why dont you get a license and learn how to drive a fast car first before you go doing all of this. i did read right in that you said you were 15? young teens and fast cars usually dont add up. not knocking you, just telling you to learn to handle the power you create

The hack doesn't work over 11 psi. I wouldn't use it at over 10 to tell you the truth. Just save some money and go hondata, it'll save you a blown motor in the long run.

I have had my licence for about 6 months now. I have taken it to two several drag events. I am fully aware of the car can and cant do. I have spun out, gone sideways (on a track) etc. Not saying that Im some great driver, cause believe me, Im not. I still have a lot to learn. Thats why Im asking for exprience on this preticular setup. The reason why Im doing this so young is due to the fact that I can with the money that I earn.

You are asking for experience, continue to save your money and buy engine management if you want to go crazy with a setup.
