lojack info
After hearing so much about how often integras are stolen im very glad i decided to have lojack installed in the 98 LS im about to own... unless there is any information i should know about this is something i would suggest you all consider.
If your car begins moving without your keychain tag they provide you with, lojack will call you to warm you your car is in motion, if you are not in the vehicle they will immediately notify the police who can then begin locating your vehicle right away. Lojack also adds an alarm to your car and will save you a great deal on your insurance.
It will run you about a G but that is alot less than the cost of loss on a vehicle even when properly insured (i just went through two months of hell after my prelude was totalled), plus like i said you will make that money back with the insurance money you save. Lojack also gaurantees your car back within 24hrs.
It seems like every other post somehow involves a stolen integra... is the solution as simple as it seems to me???

yeah, my friend's integra got stolen twice from his driveway, and both times the vehicle was recovered within 24 hours...the second time, he didn't even know the car was stolen until the police called to say they recovered it already! that was enough convincing for me, so i got the Lojack for my civic...I know that won't guarantee my car not getting stolen(knock on wood) but it gives me a peace of mind

I think it's one of the best security system to have aside from scaring the thieves with alarms. If it's gone, alarms can't do much. My friend has a lo-jack, alarm, and a club in his garage...behind a gated community LOL.

The best thing about LoJack is not telling anyone that you have it. Im pretty sure there is a way around it. I have to
on your decision to bring it to everyone attention.

Ok this information i gathered recently from a thread i made in FI forum. Lojack is $590( 99% sure) or installed. It is lifetime of the car, its not transferable from car to car, but it raises vehicle value, lowers your insurance. Its not available in new york, check website for locations. Some locations are not listed, but call and they will tell you. Also i beleive if you have a hookup at a dealership you can get a discount.
If im not mistaken also if your car is stolen and not recovered they will reimburse you $2500 on top of what insurance gives. Check out http://www.lojack.com for more info

Is it $590 for just the regular LoJack System? or $590 for that system that calls you when your car moves? Price is confusing, but I am wondering if that comes with the install price.
Does anyone know if you can use your own alarm system, rather than the LoJack one with LoJack?

it is $9995.00 for the high end lojack system with passive alarm and early warning (they call you). that is the price including installation, there are no service fees, and it is for the life of your car. There are over 20 different possible locations in your car they can put the locator in and they dont even tell YOU where it is.
Get $2,500 back if your vehicle is not recovered within 30 days and get $2,500 toward the replacement of your new vehicle from your dealer.
of course u will find ur car in 30 days stripped....and they wont give you any money
