d16 z6 or y8..easiest? Worth it?
I'm looking into getting either a z6 head or y8 head to put on my a6. So far all I've found out about the z6 and y8 is a difference of 2hp between the two. z6 has slightly more torque but I think my a6 block will help make up for that.
Anyway, which would be the best way to go? They both cost roughly the same, the y8 will be newer so maybe more reliable?
and then the obd stuff..will it be harder to go from obd-0 to obd-II or to obd-I?
Also...I'm an impatient guy, as soon as I get the head I'll want to put it on...but...would it be much easier to install a new camshaft and cam gear etc with the head off or can it be just as easily done with the head on?
any info will be much appreciated. Also, if there's threads you know of that'l help me please post links. I've searched but don't exactly have the time right now to look through all 93 threads to find a small piece of info here and there.
TIA
