woah my starter just kicked the bucket too...luck I am starting my H22 swap this weekend

 

GSR swap with P23. Cars been running fine until now. By the way my car is a 93 si.

I think you mean P28?

 

How did you check the battery? Have you tried to jump it?

 

yeah... tried to jump started

 

fuses??? if you haven't done so already...

 

lightly tap the starter with a hammer, or anything with a lil weight. If it starts, the starter is bad.

 

or plug a wire from your starter to your battery. Make contact with the positive side and if it turns over........it's probably your starter.

 

My starter would always stick and I would have to bang on it with my Mag-Lite. Atfer about two years of this the starter finally went bad. If it still won't turn over your starter is pretty easy to remove and take to a local auto parts store to be tested for free.

 

replcaed the starter this weekend. Car didnt start at first. I had to jump the starter from the battery and ground it to the battery as well. Car now starts like a champ, but I am afraid that something else mind be the problem.
