Default Fully built LS motor for street/track, turbo recommendations?

I'm currently in the process of building an stock bore LS engine for around 300-350 hp, I was thinking about going with a T3/T04E 57 trim Garrett turbo. Midrange is going to be most important for this project. Block will have full GE sleeves, crower rods and JE 9.5:1 pistons with an 8k RPM redline. Is this a good turbo to get the midrange I want while still getting around 300-something peak hp? If not I'm open to any suggestions at all.

you'll make that power with about 14 - 18 lbs of boost

good turbo choice for those goals. But 1 thing, you won't need to rev to 8k rpm, in fact power will most likely drop off ~6500, but I rev to 7500 on my LS just so I don't fall out of boost when shifting.

might wanna look into some cams if you want to utilize that power. Im going VTEC

Yes Crower LS Turbo or crower style ones with a little more duration to stretch the powerband are planned.

Have you looked into the Crane LS cams, they were the ones I was about to get but planned on going with a GSR head etc.

http://www.cranecams.com/import/anonvteccams.htm
Stage 3 #14 were the ones I was looking at. I believe they are $400

just something for you to consider.

I have a problem with companies that fire the person who created them. The guy that founded crane cams was very knowlegable about what he did, when his own company kicked him out I think it was a terrible move. Also... they are the same ones peddling the roller cams for hondas, talk about a waste.

.63 a/r perfect for your goals. You turbo size sounds good, but have you considered going with precision Tlak to arturbo he can help you if you are interested.

Thats an awesome turbo for the LS motor. I ran 12.7 on a stock LS at 11 psi with my old 57 trim. HP was roughly 265 guessing from a hp calculator. Couple more psi you will easily make over 300 especially with cams.

.48 turbine housing isnt good for any B series motor. .63 would be the best for mid to top end.

57 trim is nice. We dyno'd 350whp on 11psi with our prelude. Went up to 19psi, and dyno'd 100hp more.

got a t3/t4e .57 trim .63/.60 on my ls and i love it. great mid range and lots of high end. if you're only looking for 300-350 hp this is probably a good choice for you as it gives you more room to work with in the near future if you end up wanting more power.
