Grinding sound when shifting hard???
I have a 93 Del Sol S and when I really get on the engine, and shift into second gear, it makes a really bad grinding sound. Clutch is all the way down against the floor. It doesn't happen unless I'm really revving hard and shifting fast. Was wondering if anyone knew why or how to fix this? Thanks.
i had the SAME problem...its ur 2nd gear syncro bearing. its a cheap fix. i took mine to a transmission place...so i can tell u how to fix it urself...but its cheap
it if does it all the time then you need to think about replacing transmission parts or the whole thing, if it only does it when you're shifting like you're on crack then stop doing that. slow down, you're shifting and it may take a little while for the synchro to adjust. when you dont let parts do their job they tend to break.
