Default Radiator for racing....

Looking to get a radiator for roadracing. I'm trying to find something that is dual core, aluminum but will not break my bank account. Thus, a fluidyne is out. It's for 92 civic HB with a B-series motor.

I currently have a dual core half length rad similar to a Del Sol VTEC but i have had some overheating problems after 20 mins of racing....

My crx has a stock radiator.. Today track temp was 122 degrees!! I run 50% distilled water and 50% evans cooling liquid and I never got above 140 degrees!!!

I was quite impressed.. So more than likely any full width radiator or a 1/2 sized with the right ducting will work MORE than Perfectly!

My stock radiator kicks ***!!!

your motor never went over 140 F ? I have trouble believing that

i peaked at 230 f after 45 seconds of autocrossing this weekend in 80 degree weather
b18b with dx radiator

so im also listening to what to do for better cooling without the bling bling fluidine

Go to a hard parts supplier that carries CSF Radiators. I bought mine at a local place called T Hoff. They have a double thick, full width replacement rad for Integras. Not lightweight bling but all-metal and big.

i too use a AT radiator. they are dual core and cost effective. works much better then my stock one. i being a cheap bastard bought a used one, make sure you pressure test it first. i would like to run the integra full length AT radiator but my rules won't allow it.

Yes, the ones I've bought were both AT capable.

Nope. I don't think there's problems somewhere else. It's simply too small a rad for the engine. I think a full length 1 row would do the job, but since i'm getting a rad anyways, i mind as well get the 2 row.

I checked into AT integra rads, they only have listings for 1 row. Humm.

Anyone else?

I'm pretty sure Honda engineers know a little more than you do my friend , and if it cools one B series it will cool the rest.

put the block off plate in and then let me know if you have a problem.

wow you give up easy huh (jk)

Where do you live ( Scarb/markham toronto??)

There is a place in Scarborough Called Japan Auto Parts on Elington near Mcowan

They sell "Be Cool Rads"

Ask them for a 91 automatic teg rad ...they will ask if you want auto or man...you say auto. When you pick it up you can see thats its a thick double core rad.

Or call "The Rad Man" They will custom make you dual core rads but you need to give them a core for the tanks.
