how do i take out the cruise control?
Why bother-the parts weight is not that high. Look in your Helm for complete instructions for the setup. There are some much better weight reduction things you can do, that when completed will be nearly invisible-. I am assuming a street car versus a real race setup. Also keep in mind that some classes have specific rules as to what you can do.
seriously. It weights like 2 oz's. Well the actually cruise control selinoid under the hood. Removal is just a coule 10mm's and you have to undo the ball connector from the top of the gas pedal (not hard). I also went and made a "custom" mount out of ABS for the MAP sensor... atleast I think it was the MAP.. well whatever uses the braket for the cruise unit
i know its not gonna save much weight. but it all adds up and why have something in your car that you dont need or ever use.
Thanks errrrr one for the info and help. If any one else has ideas or info please repley

Just start unbolting it. The only tricky part is getting the CC throttle cable off. There is a plastic piece that goes into the fire wall that you simply have to pull out for the CC throttle cable to come out.

remember to unplug the right cable connected to ur gas pedal ^_- everything else u can just trace and follow from the cruise control unit. it doesnt weight much, but i pulled mine out too. i never used it, and it gave me more room in my engine bay.
