when you take off, does the car move normal? or does it shake as if the clutch disc was slipping?

my tranny is makin noise when i release the clutch. i had it checked out by a pro and said it was the input shaft bearing or so... beter off replacing it he said, but gsr tranny's are not cheap ... i found few that are cheaply priced with low miles... but my teg only has 81,000. however it was ripped on b4 i bought it.. i must suffer the results...(what's high milaged to you?)

sure it's not the clutch?

anyway, your mechanic doesn't want to crack open the tranny...just like Acura dealerships. the labor is too expensive, while the part is cheap.

since you're having someone else do it, just buy a tranny. The "ultimate" is JDM ITR, with JDM final drive and LSD.
