Default 94 Lude...brakes feels very mushy???why?

When I try to stop I have to push the pedal almost all the way down to the floor to make the car stop? I checked my brake fluid, pads and rotors and everything looked good? Does anybody know what the problem is?

leak in the master cylinder? does the pedal keep going down after your stopped and pressure is applied to the brake?

yes, but after I re-pump the pedal a few times I regain pressure then at the next stop I lose pressure and the pedal goes nearly all the way down to the floor again......

I think you need to flush and rebleed brakes with high performance DOT4 fluid.. I had that same issue.. I also had warped discs which I got changed recently..

the car when comming to lights or having to stop the peddle would just sink to the floor and I would have to let go and reaply before the brakes would grab.. getting a brake service shouldnt set you back much.

Bleed all four brakes, you may have air in the lines.

Also, check to see if the rotors are shiney. You may have gotten them hot and glazed them over. If so, get the rotors turned and take the pads off and use some sandpaper to sand them down some.
