Details please -- how fast, what you hit, what brand of hood, the aftermath (damage)

 

I've seen three CF hoods of cars after accidents. Typically what happens is the weave seperates from the skeleton (frame) of the hood. But sustain the damage well enough. There is no crinkle effect.

Names of hoods were a no name generic, unknown and VIS. But the results all seem the same.

 

I was in a wreck with my c/f hood and it bent. I hope this link works. This "was" a TC spoilers hood.

I had a fiber images hood on my got when my brother wrecked it a few months back. I still use the hood but Now I have to use the hood pins.

 

so they didnt shatter? the epoxy had to have cracked right?

 

i got into a pretty bad wreck about a year ago and it split my spoon hood in half and the corner by one of the headlights broke off. Ill try to post pics if i find them.
