Default ? about Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, for those who use them...

i'm currently using a Walbro 255 intank pump, and with everything else stock the CEL code #1 (O2 sensor) comes on during de-acceleration but only after about 3+ seconds.

the injectors are stock 240cc, FPR is stock and ECU was stock though now i have a Hondata program. the CEL will come on only when i let off of the throttle, in a gear, and coast for 3+ seconds. if i downshift every 2-3 seconds or throw it in neutral, it will not do throw a code.

i've tried the B&M FPR but that didn't do a thing to help. i've also tried a stock P72 (when i had the GSR motor in), a chipped P06 and a Hondata P28 (for when i had the GSR motor, and now the B16), and they all do the same thing upon de-acceleration. i've also swapped the Walbro fuel pump out as well. i used one last year then sold it, now this year i have a brand new pump in there but the same thing is happening.

also the O2 sensor is a newer one and works fine otherwise.

if someone can give me some pointers on how to fix this problem i'd appreciate it.
i figure it is some sort of fuel return issue maybe, linked to the FPR. but at this point i just want to adjust or replace whatever needs to be, so i can drive the car normally w/o the CEL coming on all the time. it really sucks.

thanks in advance for any input.

The problem goes away if you use the stock pump?

yes, with a stock GSR or DX pump there is no problem. the problem is only with the Walbro pumps i've used. when i had the stock fuel pump on, i tried both the B&M FPR and the OEM FPR, with the same results. both worked fine.
i've never had this problem until i used the Walbro 255 intank fuel pump.

BTW i also had/have a new fuel filter and B series "banjo" fuel line, when the pump was first installed. everything else is stock, inj., rail, lines, even ECU.

i figure a quality FPR may correct the problem, but i haven't really thought about which one to try (other than the B&M FPR i have already) and i've been tight on $$ too.

oh, in case you're wondering why i have a 255 LPH pump for an all-motor setup, i used N2O DP injection last year and kept it in cause i was going turbo soon. otherwise i would just put a stock pump back in there.

thanks for the replies so far.
