Default Boosting a certain PSI on a small turbo compared to a larger turbo.

Guys...lets say that I am boosting 10 psi on a DSM 16g turbo...would that be equivalent to boosting lower on a t3/t4 setup? Im asking this because my current internal waste gate is set at 10psi on the 16g turbo..and i am afraid of running that much boost fearing detonation or a blown motor. But technically shouldn't the 16g be pushing less volume of air per pound of boost into the cylinders compared to say a t3/t4 setup?

I should just type these thing up and leave them on my computer, since I am the only one who reads them.

basically the link tells me..that 10psi on a 16g turbo would be identical to 10psi on a t3/t4......or did i read that wrong?

Doh! you just pissed off 99% of the HT/FI membership.

If I had a dime for everyone with a T3/4 at 6 psi around here....

well this is a good thing to know so that i dont need to upgrade to dual T88 turbos to be able to make my 8 psi. my td04 mitsubishi turbo will do just fine.

Just keep in mind that the turbine wheel and housing are VERY important, and that a smaller turbo will likely have a hot side that is far too restrictive.

Actually, I love reading stuff like that. I live for more technical information on fi applications. In response to the big turbo guy thing, there is a guy who just put a t3/60-1 on a D15 last week. It is running at 6lbs. It is the funniest thing I have ever seen. He could have put a 11b on there and probably have been faster . Sometimes big, is just too big.

I thought it was very clearly answered.

Not enough to make any difference whatsoever at 10 psi. If you increase the boost *substantially* (~20 psi), there will be a difference worth noting.
