Some cool pics to get ready for Rally Germany...
I found this on another website.
Thought you guys might like it.
The Rallye Deutschland will open the second half of the World Rally Championship with the first "true" asphalt event of the season. The German Rally is known for its high speed and the great variety of its road surfaces.
This year will be the second edition of the Rallye Deutschland. Last year, the first edition was a big success, as much for the competitors as for the fans. The 100% asphalt event centres around Trier - the oldest city in Germany - located near Mosėl, a region famous for its vineyards.
The stages will offer a lot of variety to the drivers : twisty, narrow and dusty roads near the vineyards of the Mosėl region, slippery and rough roads at the Baumholder military range and the fast paced stages of the Saarland forest. With three distinctive legs, the Rallye Deutschland is different and interesting, offering a good challenge to the engineers and drivers.
In total, the Rallye Deutschland is made up of just under 400 kilometres of timed stages. The event is presented one month earlier this year, which might bring higher temperature compared to the previous edition of the race.
The Rallye Deutschland, because of the difficult and varied stages offered over the three days of the event, is one of the most difficult asphalt event of the year. The big changes in grip level are not easy to manage, making it a fast and challenging rally.
And now, the pics from last year.

I remember this car at the 02 Deutschland Rally. It hit a rock, the wheel shattered, and he continued on to finish the stage on three wheels. Talk about chassis rigidity.
