Is the timing belt jumping at the cam gear, or is the distributor timing flipping 180?

Are you sure the cams are 180 out of sync with the crank? They don't rotate at the same rate as the crank, they rotate 2:1, or is it 4:1?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I havent dont this in a while, but can't that happen normally, the crank be up, TDC and the cam be out of its expected phase, if you rotate the crank 360 degrees what happens to the cams?

jumping a tooth is normal from my experiences, but not a full 180(in my experiences here)... for some odd reason one thing isnt spinining correctly... its slipping real bad....
