damn you all for making me want to turbo my car!!!
Ok, so it's come down to this... the more I read on here, the more I find out that putting turbo on my engine is going to be the only thing to make me feel happy with my car. Had I known that I was going to be doing this a year ago, I would have just bought a 6-cylinder instead of a wussy 4-banger. Hindsite is 20/20 though, so I'm over it.
Once again, my accord is a '02 automatic. Everything is stock except for the cold air intake and a new exhaust pipe that will be on within the next week, but we all know those don't count for crap when it comes right down to it.
So here's my new question, if I were to turbo my engine, what other mods might I want to do in order to insure that my engine or tranny isn't going to fall apart after 20k or 30k miles from the stress of the turbo?? I already know that most of you suggest switching out the auto tranny with a 5 spd, but that's not really much of an option and I'm not able to put that much money into this. If it came right down to it, and I HAD to do that in order to get turbo on my car, then I wouldn't do it. But I've heard from a few sources that you can have turbo on a automatic and it works just fine. Heck, I even found a guy that had nos on his and he ran it up to 120k miles before he sold it. Anyways, so load me up with all the info that you guys can think of on this. Once again, I'm a newb so explain as best as you can if you're going to make comments!! Thanks all!
ps - I assume that this will void my warranty??? Right?

Haha, yes, you can pretty much bet your life that you will void your warranty.

Buy a cheap 4g or crx with a MT. they're like what, less than 2k these days... and you wont be out of a car while parts come in.
You'll save the money it takes to beef up your AT, as well as save your vehicles resale value.

Alright, I'm scrapping the turbo idea for my accord. My superiors told me that I was smoking some serious reefer if I wanted to turbo it. What I'm getting out of this from you guys (and from guys that I work with) is that if you want to do it then you need to beef up a stock engine a ton so that it can take the stress, and that's sounding very pricey. I can't justify spending a few thousand just to bump up my hp, when I could put the thousand elsewhere in the future towards a nicer car.
Hey, does anyone have some good links that will explain to me the differences between the h and f series engines? Thanks in advance.

'Bishis are not kick *** cars to drive, they're pathetic, the gs-t pulls a low 15 MAYBE. And they're heavy, so you don't have the wonderful power/weight ratio that so many honda's possess. Get an EF.

..have you ever been to the drag strip??? dsm's own most hondas. screw the gst, real racers buy the gsx. spend $1,000 on a dsm and you'll run low 14s, spend that on a GSR or lude and high 14s is all your getting.
my friend used to have a GST with a 16G turbo, pulled a 13.8 untuned.

heres the run down on the DSM's. GST pulls 15s because they have spooling problems(real fast which isnt really a problem) and the get absolutly no traction. However if you buy the AWD version and put a 2600 series clutch, boost controller, air filter and some form of FMU in then you run 13's no prob. The only reason the GST is slow is because its FWD turbo.
