Default safest compression

What's the safest compression that can be run on the streets without running into problems?

From experience, anything below 13.0:1 if you don't consider aviation fuel to be street usable. Well, thats my $2.57 anyway...

13:1 is pushing it.... That's using 93 octane as a minimum. I still think in some parts of Maryland, Sunoco has Race GT at the pump as a standard 96 octane. There's a place in Miami that has 99 octane, but it's expired av-gas. So I really don't know the exact octane reading.

On pump gas, 11.5 is about the highest you'd want to run reliably

Thanks for all the responses guys, but I'd have to say that B18C-EG1 is on the mark. But does anybody actually ever ran 11.5 compression on the street? If so then how does it run? I'm not sure but I think the Integra Type R runs 11.6 compression? So I guess it's okay. But correct me if I'm wrong.

im actually running on the street in the high 12's compression area....no one really knows my compression but safe to say its about 12.5+.....i do run Cam2 normally
(race fuel 100 octane) but when i cant git to it i use 93 and 94 if theres a sunoco nearby...this is my second high compression motor and ive never had a problem with the octane levels....

I wouldn't go much higher than 12, 11:5 is nice
