Auto to Manual
I've done a lot of research othe Auto to Manual conversion on EG civics and now I'm wondering if anybody who's done this ever run into problems? Any info would be kool.

I've heard that for the EG's, you have to reweld one of the tranny mounts once you do a auto to 5spd conversion. Other than that, I think it's a pretty straightforward changeover. For my EK, the 5spd was just swapped in with no problems or fabrications other than the obvious wiring headaches here and there.

no problems. if you have any q's still regarding the swap, let me know. it's really not as hard as everyone thinks. you do need to drill your tranny bracket off and put the manual bracket on in a slightly different location (more toward the front of the car) and you can use 5th gen civic or 3rd gen integra. it helps to have the engine out of the car to run the clutch lines. all the holes for the clutch components are already on your car. everything besides the tranny bracket bolts right together.

thanks for the info man. I've actually taken very close looks at my car and did notice all the holes for the manual...but there is one thing that puzzles me. On the underside of where the clutch pedal should go there is a small blue box, what is it and what should I do with that. It seems to be in the way of where the clutch pedal should go. Do I need to purchase the whole accel, brake and clutch pedal assembly or just the clutch pedal?
