Hey guys i was just woundering how much hp type R cams give and how much do they go for..

 

i say 10 or more with tuning.

 

well everycar is diff id say with tuning 8-10+ usually they go for about 200 each cam around that price range

 

not much if you just throw them in, if you do other things, fuel, i/m, it will help more, tuning is the key also.

 

enough to notice on the butt dyno =P

 

My Zach (dead - HT name) got some in his 2000 GSR. Put some Skunk2 full valvetrain in there t00.

He said he could feel the difference in the butt dyno. But let me walk you through our conversation a few weeks ago:

you need to upgrade the valvetrain with the stock rev limiter in place? I did nt know the cams were THAT agressive. The skunk2 stage 1 cams are more agressive them ITR cams and they say yoiu do not need to upgrade.

 

i thought you got more of a difference by using just a type-r intake cam instead of both of them?

 

Naw. Keep in mind I have stock cams in my car I am just going by what I heard. I think the intake cam is worth it but the exhaust is not.

 

Going rate is about $400 bux, there not too hard to find because the Alot of R guyus upgrade to a higher lift not to mention the boosted R's go with the gsr cams for turbo. So maybe you can work out a trade with someone .

You guys do know that the 00-01 Hype R cams are more aggressive than the 97-98 Hype Rs.

Hype R cams should give you quite a bit of power. But really depends on your setup and other parts. Don't expect to install them and have instant HypEr Sp33d.
