Strut Bar ?
Hey guys I need an opinion to set this topic straight. The tower bar that bolts on the two bolts on the outer part next to the struts is not as helpful as the actual strut bar right?
I though that was a front strut tower bar.. strut bar as some say.
the rod/bar/shaft that is a connecting piece with bolts at each end that connect it to a fixed location... on the top of the strut towers, this prevents chassis flex during hard cornering.
front upper is most important.
rear upper is next.
rear lower (bolts to subframe and LCA's) is next.
front lower is last but still works enough for well setup cars to notice.
uh, is that any help?

I think what he is saying, is the front strut bar stronger when it is connected by the two screws like in the Gsr or when it is actually connected to the struts like in the aftermarket ones, ex. Dc sports.

I was thinking this myself, and I came to the conclusion that indeed it is OK to bolt it to the bolts. The metal there that surrounds the shock tower is strong enough to withstand any flexing. The reason aftermarket bars bolt to the shocks, I believe, is for multiple applications, ie civics will fit integras...etc...
Somebody told me that the aftermarket one will tighten the chassis by a tad bit than the factory upper front strut bar is that what you askin??? Cuz the aftermarket one bolts more outer of the shocks.
