Default T3/T4 gasket to downpipe?

I am in the process of installing my Drag Gen 3 kit on my Civic and am almost done. One of the few things left to do is connect the downpipe. My question is, was I supposed to get a gasket with it, or does the flange seal well enough on its own?

No gasket needed at all. I have never used anything on it but have seen some people use copper gasket sealant but I don't think it is necessary at all.

Completely agree. Not necessary.
