Update on "worst day ever" D15 blowed-up
I changed my SN because I am getting rid of my 1G, previously "Autocratic_1st_Gen"
The update, I pulled the motor today. Everything was f-ed up. The rod even took out the oil pan! Lots of holes and bent the hell out of the mount. I pulled the bearings out, and they looked bad. The top one has a 3/4" long full width shiny spot. The piston has NO DAMAGE to the top of it. The first ring and ring land are in 100% perfect condition. The next ring is missing pieces and its ring land is punched up, the oil ring is totaled, as is everything below it. I believe this means that there was NO detonation, the rod siezed and then took out the piston and everything else.
I just pulled the pan a couple weeks before this to drill for the oil return and cleaned it out real real good. There was about 1/2 cup of aluminum/metal dust, extremely fine stuff, in the pan today. Would that dust be from the destruction, or would that be more likely to be the cause of the destruction. I know it could not be normal wear, because I only drove about 500 miles from when I cleaned the pan till now. I am kind of suspicius (sp?) since my tire got slashed that morning.

D15 BLEW UP ...sorry had too.
Most likely the shavings are from the engine when it destructed.
