thrust washers n the damn oil pan

Default thrust washers n the damn oil pan

i dropped the oil pan....and this is what i find....my guess is thrust bearings....

I don't see how this can happen? aren't those on the sides of the crankshaft and pressed in.

not all the time.. sometimes their made into one of the main bearings some times their "half washers"
and anything can happen it could have just straigt up broken off

I couldn't tell if it was knocking....i had a serious valve lash...u coulve heard it a mile away...wen I took the valve cover off to adjust the valves...i saw that there were only 5 nuts out of 16 valves...thats wat made me drop the pan...

the thrust bearing has nothing to do with your rockers.. the only thing the thrust bearing does is control crankshaft endplay.. as for your rockers thast gonna be a diffrent problem all togeather

well if the nuts made it down into the oil pan, they could have certainly knocked off the thrust bearings.
