Fuel pressure problem
heres the problem..
-with igntion on, fuel pressure goes up to 30psi for 2 sec and then quickly drops down to zero.
-cant adjust fuel pressure with b&m frp, stays at 30psi even with vac hose disconnected.
thinggs that i know are ok:
-fpr is ok because i pinched the return line hose and then turned on the ignition, fuel pressure goes up to 30psi for 2 sec and then immediatly drops down to zero.
-injectors i dont think they would leak that badly
- no fuel leaks
fuel sysetm mods to 1999 civic sir
-310cc rc injectors
-new 96 supra tt fuel pump
-b&m fpr
is there a one way check valve after the fuel pump but b4 the fpr?
i also think there mabey a problem with the supra fuel pump, do they have built in chek valves?
i didnot notice a problem right after the fuel pump swap, only 2 weeks after.
thanx for any help
edit:removed the fuel pump and found the little fuel hose connecting the pump to the tank lid came off due to the new found high fuel presssure. the weak squezze and release hose clamp couldnt hold the pressure and popped off. soo i put in a screw tight hose clamp on . problem fixed

The way that the honda'ss/acura's work is, when you turn the key to ignition 'ON', the fuel system will pressurize the system for 2 seconds. If you don't start the car within those 2 seconds, the fuel pump stops pumping until you do start the car.
The reason that it drops down after the 2 seconds, is because the pressure from the pump is not there and the fuel goes back into the tank releasing the pressure.
The only way that you can check or adjust your fuel pressure, is to have the car running. This way the fuel pump is continuously pumping.
REMEMBER, with the vacuum line disconnected, you are adjusting the fuel pressure to the 'WOT' (wide open throttle) setting. When you place the vacuum line back on, it will drop down. WOT fuel pressure should be 42-46psi on all honda/acura's
I see that you have a Supra pump. I have done these pumps on hondas before, and the main reason for failure is that they are never installed with a 'pre-filter', this is the little screen on the fuel pump. The tolarance's on these pumps is so small that even the smallest partical will cause them to sieze. Some times these pumps just go bad anyway..

if by little screen prefilter you mean the little sock that goes on the bottem of the fuel pump, i have that installed.
also i cant adjust the fuel pressure with the the car running. it just stays at 30psi even if i disconnect the vaccum line
also wouldnt the be some residual pressure, sayafter you turn off the car. i dont have any residual pressure
thanx

Are you using the stock fuel rail?
Did you make sure the spring is installed in the B&M FPR? I am willing to bet that this is the problem. If there is not spring in the FPR, then the diaphram will not hold pressure and will let it flow through.
If you want a step by step on the B&M FPR install go to my site http://www.deepstaged.net
Here is the direct link to the install..

Let me know.
