Default Easy Turbo Question

Im learnin all this compression ratio stuff... But which would be betta for turbo??

B16A with 10:1
or
B18B with 8:1?

Im under tha impression tha 8:1 would be betta cuz it leaves more room for FI...

Or you could just tell me tha best motor to turbo lol...

low compression + high boost = more hp than high compression + low boost

8:1 would be better because you can run more boost and that = more hp
if you tried to run as much boost as the 8:1 could but in a 10:1 compression engine detonation will likely happen and you will blow your engine

alright do a b18a with 8.5:1 compression, 725cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, front mount intercooler, cryo treated rods, pistons, crank, (www.cryoscience.com) and then run proper management, i would recommend a full stand alone (i like the apexi power fc with commander) also do some headwork, new profile cams, cam gears, valve springs, retainers, etc. make sure the head can flow some CFMs. Then you can run a stupid amount of boost, just watch your axles because they will break at high boost.

damn 8.5:1 is really low. Especially on a Honda. I personally wouldn't go below 9:1. Unless this guy is running extreme boost say 2bar(30psi) I wouldn't bother. The car will be a slug with 8.5 compression.

Hmm... I want a DOHC Vtec Turbo... Now im looking at tha B16B 185 HP or tha B18C5 with 195 HP... Which one would be betta... A high or low liter engine? They both have 10:1 compression...

If you are going turbo, then i would go with like a GSR motor cause it has vtec already and the compression is a little lower the the type R. But any of the motors that have been suggested would make good power with the right components, it's all about the tuning when you want to make power, make sure you get all the right components to make it work.
Good luck man.....
