Q'son WG size and hp? when do you upgrade
Just curiious, another thing i pondered with my new build up was when do you upgrade wategates, and why would you upgrade? i never really saw a good explanation as to why and when to start thinking of going bigger, i just have a stadard 35mm Tial right now, but going for big hp.
also how do you knwo what springs top out at what psi with the boost controller
sorry if this sounds newbish , but i never really saw a post on this before.

I'm currently running the tial 35mmhp wastegate. Seems to work ok so far. Just need to work some bugs out of the boost controller.
I read in one post one reason to go larger is when running low street boost levels on a high hp potential engine/turbo setup. Meaning that a 500hp @24psi setup will have to evacuate/bypass a LOT more exhaust pressure when only running 12psi on the street.

The 35mmhp is the hybrid one where it uses the 35mm base and 40mm top. ALso, i don't think the 1 bar spring will fit hte standard 35mm wastegate. If you really want, there's a tial 35mmhp in the clasified for like 210 i think. NOt too bad for the price and i have a 1.1 bar spring here i'll sell ya. Paul
I'm somewhat in the same boat. Although I'm not looking for quite as much power, my goal is 400whp. What wastegate and spring do you recommend to use in conjunction with my Greddy Profec B boost controller? Thanks.
