Default Tie rod Question

Well, After diconection my tie rod this time, I notice that the threads on the ball joint were hosed, and the nut will not thread back on. So I need to know if it might be a better idea to just get the entire tie rod, or just try and press in a new ball joint. I can get the entire rod from honda for about 65 and change. Majestic has what they say is the tie rod end, and I dont know if that is just the ball joint or the entire rod. They do not have the entire pice indicated as what they are selling http://www.hondaautomotivepart...E+ROD

I do have a press to do the job, but I would rather just get the the tie rod and replace it. Bellow is a picture with the piece that I want to replace.

Hosed(stripped)? Is it warped? You could try using a die and rethread it. Size 12m i think, but if its too stripped go one size smaller maybe. Could save u some trouble/time.

I gave pepboys a call, and they told me that they only carried the ball joint, which was like 35 bucks.

Ill give some of the other parts stores later tonight i guess.

Discount Auto Parts has it for 32.99, and I know you have Discount Auto in WPB, FL. It takes about 20 mins to change the whole thing.

I just had to change my outter tie rod. I went to autozone and pep boys and they were 29.99 I suggest changing both sides at the same time. Then quickly get an alignment.
