Mandrel Bent VS. Stock Piping.....
Is their a big difference between stock piping on 92-96 prelude and mandrel bent piping? Cause I'm thinking of just getting the High Flow Carsound and ES Oval Style Muffler and replacing those and staying with the stock piping. Would their be a significant increase if I went Mandrel Bent?
The answer is yes. As for how much it will help, or what $$$ amount you're willing to pay for that additional power, or how much it will help with *your* engine, is completely dependant on you.
For a stock engine, why bother... will it help, yes... will you notice... no.

I have DC 4-2-1 headers....so I would be looking at a completely new exhaust system. What would mandrel bent help with that I wouldn't notice? Would their be a significant hp or tq increase?....
the only increase you would see is if you got a Mandrel bent pipes with a larger diameter than your stock piping.. Usually stock pipes run 1.75' while most aftermarket systems are 2.25 - 3
so if your going to buy a high flow cat and a muffler combined with your headers, why not just do the whole exhaust system and get larger pipes...
will unlock a good couple of HP
