Default Hrmm Dyno issues...low #s

Went to a dynoJet today for a pull and only put down

in 4th gear, and only 158.7 in 3rd.

164.8 whp and 116 tq.

now the other concern is I was at neetronics a couple months ago and put down 185ish whp...w/ Apex Header stock cat and 5Zigen Fireball (2.25) since then I've upgraded my H/E setup....

My Mods:

99 JDM ITR B18C
JDM ITR Tranny 4.78 FD
DC Sports JDM 4-1 Header (2.5)
Carsound Cat
Custom 2.5 exhuast
Comptech CAB
Chipped p28 (Skunk2 Program)
Tuned VAFC by Neetronics

I checked my plugs, they're fine.
Compression is fine 240 across the board

Any ideas?

well.. 164whp sounds about right for your setup.. maybe 5-10whp short.. was 185whp corrected? is the the same dyno both times?

I think your number is about right. 185whp with is kinda high with your mod. But every dyno read difference, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

what are stock ITRs putting down? I dunno it seems low to me, considering 15% Drivetrain loss....a stock motor should throw down 167...I dunno....I guess maybe I'm just over racting...SgT if you read this, please give your input...What i dont' get is I ran 14.0 @ 99 w/ that set up...sure I took out some pounds (weighed in @ 2430 w/o me i'm 150) but still

Stock ITRs put down on average 155-160.

Assuming both hp figures were put down on the same dyno?
Your mods do not scream 185whp.

Looks low to me. Heres a good post about what whp people are getting with what mods:

Your new numbers sound slightly low. But your old numbers sound really high.

What model dyno did you use for both runs?

On a dynojet model 248C, I put down 170/119 stock. SAE horsepower.

he also forgot to mention the dynojet was having mad problems reading tach signal above 7,500 rpm, and who knows what other problems it was having?

previous numbers were put down on a clayton

he had also modded his car since the clayton trip, and u can't really tell what happened when this was done for only 1 pull on a different day, on a different dyno, with different mods

but he does not believe me
