Default Update on my new DYNO ( old vs new)

Not bad i guess for untuned engine and better than before, so i had 143 hp and 115 tq before with these mods
Ok here is the deal, now im not sure if my stock Civic EX(99) exhaust piping is killing it or what, but this is weird
Dynoed with
97 B18C1
P28 OBD1 chipped with OEM ITR proggy
Skunk2 IM
ITR cams
ITR pistons
ITR valvetrain
AEM CAI (3")
The rest is stock

Now added JDM DC header 2.5 + 2.5 carsound cat and Greddy Evo 2 70mm piping cat back ehxuast

I guess better :D

Wow thats not good. Well better then your base i must say but not must higher then my numbers (154whp and all i have is bolt ons). Didnt you say that you have stock exhaust? Why does it say on the dyno sheet that you have 2.5 for run 6? Something is very wrong with these numbers and that set up.

VTec changeover point needs lowering by 1000-1500rpm then you'll get a better midrange instead of a not so user friendly punch of power. Torque isn't that bad, remeber a B16 gets around 111-115lb standard and B18 usually doesn't dyno much higher so...

yea your vtec cross over definitely needs a change. The only way those numbers would be reasonable is if they were on a mustang

If 26yrs old is still defined as a kid then i'm very happy
But those numbers look kinda sad....my friend with the same setup as you minus the pistons but he has P&P. my friend put down 165hp. Going to get E-manage soon so fine tune more.

But wht does your a/f look like?
Looks like my other bro's S2000 which had a dip like that when vtec kicks in.

I forgot to ask him for a A/F ratio graph, but i remember him saying it was WAY to high something like 16 where it should be 12-13, maybe im talking out of my ***...........
But anyways next wednseday im doing Hondata s200 + tune so at least everything will be set and i hope to see some big *** gains..........i got Toda cam gears, so the rest is up to the tuner

if that dude let you leave his shop with 16:1, than he needs to go into a different business. Is there anyway you can get a copy of the A/F chart?

The good news is if you're running a ratio like 16:1 it means there is still plenty of power to be had from tuning.

Ah, 16:1 is very bad lean condition. I agree, I can't believe they let you leave.

from tuning NA ITR motors, the seem to like around 13.2 to 13.5 to 1. It really depends on where you live, weather conditions, etc.

Hope this helps and good luck.

very true. Take it to someone that knows what they are doing. I have tuned a few Hondata's including my own and I would NEVER have anything near 16:1 anywhere in the map.

Get an adjustable FPR and gauge too. **** I bet if you turned it up to about 45psi right now at idle you would see a big difference.
