i was working on a friends civic changing his front brakes out and one of the drivers side lugs was half on half off and the lug its self is spining before i did anything to it so how can i get the lug nut/lug off out?

your post isn't very clear, but from reading it i'm guessing you'll probably have to take off the wheel stud and get a new one...otherwise...just keep unscrewing the lugnut until it comes off

 

i cant get the lug nut off if the lug/wheel stud itself is spining. how can i get the stud off if the lug nut wont come off of it and the wheel is on it.

 

try chiseling the lugnut
