Default Tuning large (440+) injectors on a V-AFC

Ok all, I got a set of 450cc DSM injectors on my turbo GSR now. First impression - on idle and at part throttle the pintle injectors are WAYYYY smoother than the RC 310s I was running before. Now my problem is when I'm running wide open, right about the time VTEC kicks in it just bogs like a MF but my AF isn't indicating it's too rich...

I'm just wondering if anyone else is setup kinda like this and can give me some ide of how their fuel controller is setup so I have a baseline to work from.

At low throttle I'm running about -30% at idle up to around -15% at redline (with a -15% correction for the VTEC controller overlap) At high throttle it's pretty much all at baseline because I'm scared to death of leaning out under boost so I'm afraid to reduce my fuel supply, but I think I need to do so.

Thanks for any tips

dyno tune it with a wideband - everything else is just guessing.

And I would absolutely LOVE to do so if someone can point me in the direction of a dyno closer than 3 hours from my home that has some CLUE about tuning imports. I unfortunately live in the big VOID halfway between the Bay area and LA, so until I've got a whole day that I can spend driving out of town to tune my car, I'm kinda stuck. Maybe I can get my boss to send me out of town on business sometime soon.

Well im running 550cc pintle style with an AFC, i run at idle at -30% it's a little rich.... and at cruise im in the -32 to -35 range..... for the lo.... the high i go down or up depending how u look at it ... to -18% or so....

I'm running 10psi of boost on my B18B...

How much boost u running? i think you're way in the rich end of things... but of course it's the safe way to go...

But as was also mentioned... Wideband O2 on dyno is the only real way...

any ole dyno will do. If you know how to read a dyno chart, and how to use your AFC, then you could tune it yourself.

I suspect you're right (both of you) but I think MDA is right, I'm running too rich up top; Even though he's got 550s and I've got 450s, I'm only running 6-7 psi of boost, so I should be delivering about the same duty cycle worth of fuel (if we're at similar pressures).

In the next couple weeks i plan to take my ride to the dyno and fine tune some things.... The problem is that everyones setup is different.... especially with mine because along with the AFC, im going to have the stock ecu reprogrammed slightly...

What is your fuel pressure at? Factory regulator? Are you using a boost dependent regulator? Are you using an aftermarket fuel pump?

I've got the factory FPR inline with a Cartech 20005 pushing it up to about 70 psi under boost, 50-55 psi static; factory fuel pump.

Damn... that's why you're flooding out .... way tooo much fuel..

I run stock fuel pump and stock fuel pressure....

If you're hitting 70psi with that AFC u will have to pull out a lot more fuel... why do that ? just turn down that pressure and go from there...

run your stock fuel pressure and see what happens.
