Help with timing belt and cam gears.
Ok, I am in the process of reinstalling my t belt after i took off my head. I understand the jist of this process, but when adjusting my cams to get them to line up without the belt on, the exhaust cam spins freely with a 14mm wrench, but the intake cam is a bitch to move, and it wont spin both ways. Only if i go clockwise with the bolt, its already on as tight as it will go so it spins the gear.
Is there something wrong? BTW none of the pistons are at TDC

I don't understand fully, but you were suppose to set everything at TDC before you took the crank pulley off because the cams aren't going to move freely . Hope that helps I illiterate
Actually, I figured it out. I took off the distributor in and it was in a bit crooked I guess, but the teeth did go in the cam. Weird. Now it spins freely. Everything is lined up, but I know the belt is not supposed to be on super tight, but it is one decently snug, with some looseness I guess. I took a video, is this good?

Looks perfect ..I remember when I just did mine it was to tight and whinned like a son of a bitch. Then i forgot to set it to TDC when i tried to re tension it and all hell broke loose and the tensionor spring slipped and I had to redo it all over agian!! Horrible day
What are you guys using for 5mm pins to secure the camshafts from turning when installing a new Timming Belt? I've been using 5mm allen wrenches but there is still too much play on the cams.
