Default 310's... need an fmu???

My friend has a turbo d16z6 with 310's and an vafc, everytime the car goes into boost it goes lean. Do we need an fmu? I'm pretty sure that we do but i want to confirm. thanks.

Yeah at least a 6:1 fmu if not a 8:1 fmu. I'm runing a 4:1 with a sfc 12.0 +/- .2 air fuel ratio

Kind of off-topic but is a FMU needed if you are running a Greddy Blue Box?
