warranty
I was wondering if it is worth getting the 100,000 mile warranty. I got a 97 with 35,000 and I drive it everyday in the summer. I dont plan on doing anything internaly to the engine only bolt on stuff. Thanks
It's a good idea to get it near the end of your 4yr/50,000 mile warranty. You can always by it just before then.
Also, it's a great idea if you're going to keep the car for that long... we had one on our 94 Vigor and we used it once for a hefty repair.

97 with only 30000miles?? damn my 2000 itr almost caught up to you. BUt anyways, yea i would buy it especially if you plan to keep your car long and get your money's worth. I bought mine because i knew i would be driving at least 20000 miles a year. hehe

the only problem I have w/ the warranty is that depending on the relationship you have w/ the dealer determines what mods will "void" the warranty. I have moved far away from my dealer, they would cover anything for me. Around here I have problems talking to them. They don't seem to know much....
Most bolt ons SHOULDN'T void even your 4yr 50K warranty, but if I'm PAYING for a warranty, I want to know that it'll be covered and they can't guarantee me that. Every dealership is independently owned and they can be ****** about it...hehehe most of the dealers down in my area fall under that category.

The obvious question you should ask yourself is if you're going to be modding your car heavily. (i.e. cam, etc.) If you do internal engine mod, then don't get 100K mile warranty. If just doing bolt-on mods, then everything should be covered under 100K warranty.

incidently, I've got a '97 (GSR) that had 37K 6 months ago and have the 100,000 warranty. I've used that so many times, it's not funny. Of course, a SMALL percentage was caused by me. It's worth the piece of mind IMO. -C

well, nothing "Voids" the warranty entirely. If they can prove that a particular mod caused the problem in question, then they will not cover that problem.
