Need help picking a car solo2 racers
My dad had a little unfortunate accident with his car, so instead of him wasting money on a new car I'm going to give him my 99 civic ex (which I've been running in street prepared) then I plan to buy another civic for daily driving and solo2 on the weekends. This time I'm going to do it right and keep it stock from the start.
Which model civic and year do you guys recommend for solo2? I've heard that the 90-91 Si's are very competitive, however, I'm leaning towards an EG. Any thoughts or competitiion results to aid in my decision?
Thanks guys.

Me personally, 89-91 Si hatchy... Competitive in HS, STS, has strong STX potential, and MAY have potential in SM. Not sure about CSP, but might be doable there too. Not too many cars have that many competitive class options... unless of course you are Mark Daddio and can make a Neon DS/DSP/SM championship-competitive or a Z06 in however many classes those are competitive... SS/BSP/BP/SM2 (I think...?)

They're nowhere near as competitive in HStock as the Minis - but certainly would be entertaining on a regional level.
Dont forget the 1.6L miatas and N/A MR2's.

I agree that the civics are not even able to be competitive in HS anymore.
