jrsc problem with surging motor
Need a little help. Just installed a jrsc and when ever i start the car it seems to serge over and over again at idle. Running a 8lb pulley, jr fmu, aem fpr, stock injectors. Has anyone ran in to this problem before? If so what should i do? It looks like the engine wants to jump out of the car. Any input would really help me. Thanks
No strage noises that i can hear. I have an exhaust leak so i cant really hear anything else to well. Im pretty sure that i hooked all the hoses up right. The car is also idleing at 1500 rpms. I tried to ajust the idle on the throttle body but it stays at 1500.
No not yet putting it in this weekend so i dont know what boost i am at. Thats probably not helping is it. I also have a jr timing controler in.
The boost gauge is a way to confirm that you do or don't have a leak... the motor should idle around -20 psi (at normal idle) - if it's signifigantly higher, you would have a leak.
I had the same problem when I installed mine - it was a crappy seal between the blower and the manifold, but it made a horrible whistle.

I will be working on it tomorrow. And also getting the exhaust fixed and proabably the guage. I will let you know where i am. Thanks for all the help
weird...i have a whistle under load in a high gear and at low rpms....but it sounds like the same whistle that was there before the charger from the iceman intake.
also, my boost guage will read between -20 and -25 depending...sometimes its -20, other times -25....

That whistle is from the throttle body - my car does the same thing at part throttle... actually sounds like a turbo spooling...
The horrible noise I was talking about was a huge leak between the blower and the manifold 0 it was so loud that you couldn't hear the engine running with the hood off - obviously fixed that.
