Default Gas Gauge Question???

Everytime I fill up my gas tank it never shows full, it will go up to about 3/4th's. I changed the PVC valve and no difference? I called the Honda dealership and asked them but they had no clue. They want me to replace my gauge??? It's a 99 Coupe EX. Thanks!

It's a common Honda problem. I wouldn't touch it IMO, you'll be thowing money in a bottomless pit if you try fixing that problem.

this one i actually saw covered on one of my other sites. you have to drop the tank, clean the electrical connections and lube up the tank level sensor and buoy. good luck. if you need the site, IM me.

or if everyone is interested, i can post it up here.

I don't have any aftermarket gauges, just the stock ones. I called the Honda Dealership and they said I could replace the fuel sending unit??? But the guy didn't know anything about it... Anyone heard of that?

no, it's actually quite a common problem. it's just a pain in the **** to get to. nothing to do with any aftermarket anything. just dirt and dust and grime build up.
