Finanally Got The R Tuned..
Well I finanall took my car to get tuned and dyno'd at Jotech in Garland.
I am just wondering if this sounds about right.
01 ITR
DC JDM 4-1 header
AEM cold air intake
Skunk 2 stage II cams
Skunk 2 retainers and valve springs
Skunk 2 cam gears
Apexi VAFC
B&M fuel pressure regulator
With all of this my base run was a 163 whp and after 4 hrs of tuning all I made was 181 whp. Does that sound right? What else do I need to make AT LEAST 200?
Thanks
Bonnie

numbers sound about right. do you have an exhaust? that would free up some hp. that is what is holding me back right now. i have similiar mods and a stock exhaust with Carsound highflow cat and DC JDM.
How was your experience at Jotech? How was the tuner? I am trying to find a good tuner and am in a driving distance away from there.
The shop was awesome. Kenny Tran was the person that tuned it. I would recomend you go there. They explain everything to you. I drove there 7 hrs just becasue I heard they were good. And I was really satisfied.
I put down 197 with stage 2's, stock compression and bolt on's before I bent all the intake valves 5 passes later. Sounds like you can get more hp out of her.

I think you could squeese some more out. I had 175 whp with some heavy 18" rims, VAFC, Short ram intake, stock headers and exhaust, aem cam gears, and an AEM FPR. But then again each Dyno seems to show different numbers. There was something in Super Street or something like that, they brought a stock 350Z to like 6 different dynos. There was a 40whp difference between the highest and lowest dyno numbers.
It could be the dyno...

What does wheel weight have to do with on the dyno?

What does wheel weight have to do with on the dyno?
Any suggestions on what else I need. I am wanting to do ecu, injectors, fuel pump, and exhaust. Which ones do you recomend?
Another quick qustion. Since these cams keep making hp, they dyno was just pushed to 7800-8000 rpm would it still be capable of more hp since I can push it to 9000?

Harder for the motor to spin 50lbs of metal rather than 20lbs. I'd assume that would affect a dyno run a little bit.

stock injectors and fuel pump will be fine for your stock compression. If you increase compression you will want to think about injectors, but stock pump would probably still be fine(it is for me so far). As far as how high to rev, get on the dyno, and put the rev limiter where the cams stop making/holding power. just because you can theoretically rev to 10grand, doesnt mean you are making any power that high. you can see on the dyno where you power begins to fall off and set your rev limit near that.

The hp never drops at 7800-8000 rpm. The dyno is stopped. hp keeps climbing. Thats why I was womdering about if it is capable of more whp. I heard stage II keep making horspower up to 92-9400 rpm.
