Default 86 legend puffing white smoke @ stoplights.

Alright, here's my deal. I got this POS 86 Legend and in the last few days it's been blowin a lil (sometimes semi-cloud like) puff of white (i'm 98% sure it's white from what i see in my mirrors) smoke when i accelerate from a stop. It gets worse once the engine warms up, and it stinks kinda like exhaust, but more "pennies" like if that makes sense. It's auto, and if i'm stopped for a while, then accelerate in neutral, no smoke. If it's in drive, then i accelerate it puffs out the white smoke. any ideas? this car is a mad POS and i just wanna know whether it's gonna be worth getting looked into and fixed or just to drive it til it's totally dead.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

White smoke means you're burning prestone (coolant). This is not good. It could mean your head gasket is blown.

welp...it ain't coolant cuz it's still full. but I did check my oil, low and behold it's below the low mark, 2 days ago it was about 1/4. so most likely head gasket? maybe valve seals? should i get this fixed right away or can I let it go for another week or so, I'm low on $$.

i am 90% sure it is just the valve seals it is common that when you sit at a stoplight and you hit the gas it will puff a little smoke and also when you start your car it will do it too .... so i would say just go take it and have the valve seals done but i believe that on that engine it is hard to do so it may be expencive

hrm...welp, I just topped up the oil and drove it around. Engine sounds a lot better and its not puffing. I think it must've been real low and engine was hotter and thats what burned the rest up so quick. but then i'm leaking oil (?) or its burning slowly or something? <Shrug> i hate this car.
