safe to take guages apart??

Default safe to take guages apart??

i am probably getting 2 GReddy temp guages, one for Oil, one for Water, but the GReddy guages aren't labeled, i just wnated to pull the lense off and put some small vinyl stickers on them to say "OIL" and "WATER"..... anyone think i could do this?

It would be easier to put them on the lens, use vinyl so it is removeable.

should be ok if you don't hit the needle, im not sure about the greddy ones but my autometer gauges have an auto zeroing feature so I don't think it would matter then.

I"d be careful..its doable but some of the gears are sprig load so if you F up, its all over...(literally)

it would just be 1000000x easier to put the stickers on the lens.

just put it on the lense or even somewhere around the gauge. Wanting to take the gauge apart is an accident waiting to happen.

yeah, but it wouldn't look nearly as good, it would look ghetto IMO

not if you got some small stickers with no background etc.

It can be done clean, just got put some effort into it.
