why the F do greddy gauges cost $150 a pop?
seems kinda expensive if you ax me....
Which one would you guys prefer? Autometer or Greddy?
I know greddy uses electronics while Autometer uses some type of tube to get it working. Seems kinda ghetto but anyone with experience on these gauges can you chime in and let me know?
Thanks in advance.

Why do Frosted Flakes cost more than the generic sugared corn flakes? Advertising, name, packaging, etc.
People who depend on their gauges go 100% electronic like DEFI, not autometer or even greddy. Mechanical always has the possibility of leaking into your car, but electroic sending units aren't the more reliable things either.
In the case for most people, the chance of a gauge failing at the same time you overboost or something unusual like that is so low, that a $300 DEFI package really isn't ecconomical.

lol "Autometer uses some type of tube to get it working"
well for one thing autometer has electronic gauges too..the "tube" you are refering to is probably for a mechanical oil pressure or boost gauge. the "fluid" goes into the gauge providing pressure on some mechanism and is translated into a visual reading via needle... the difference in price is reflected in quality and in quantity made...the greddy gauges are a little better quality and i highly doubt they make as many as autometer so in turn they are quite a bit more than autometer, autometer is fine for most applications although other gauges such as greddy and Defi look alot better IMO

the time your boost spikes and ure car blows up is too quick for u to look at your expensive boost guage anyways. i vote no on expensive one for normal daily use! as for looks and all that other good stuff, if i had money i'd get it!

Shameless plug.....
I have a Greddy (black face)60MM electrical oil Pressure W/sender and a Greddy (black face) 52MM EGT gauge with probe. $100 each.
